PGA Tour describes its ledger during the Senate hearing
Golf commentator Bob Ball has shared the full report of the proceedings of the latest Senate hearing on Twitter. Besides the $2.1 billion dollars for the 2022-23 season, PGA Tour set aside prize money of $435.7 million for this season’s Fed Ex Cup schedule and $50 Million in PIP. They also said to invest $62.5 million for the Champions Tour, $29 Million for Korn Ferry Tour, and $10 million for the Latin American Tour, Canada and other tours. Ball has questioned the creditability of Ron Price’s words by asking why PGA Tour is paying out just a little over 35% when other sports leagues are paying out around 50-55%.
While Mickelson is overjoyed by the addition of Woods to the PGA Tour’s board, will his trust in them ever return through his old frenemy? Only time will tell. What do you think about Tiger Woods joining the PGA Tour board? Let us know in the comments.
