In an intense and exhilarating press conference held at Trump National Golf Club in Washington DC, Harold Varner III, the recently crowned LIV Golf winner, responded to a curious question about jealousy and his teammate Talor’s consecutive victories.

The interviewer wasted no time diving into the topic, asking Varner if he felt any jealousy when Talor claimed two individual trophies in a row at the RangeGoats. Varner, in turn, offered a thought-provoking perspective on the matter. He calmly dismissed the notion of jealousy, stating that it would hinder his own ability to succeed. Following that, the golf pro shared his belief that jealousy has no place in his mindset and admitted that this may not align with everyone’s opinion, but it certainly worked for him.

Harold said, “I think jealous would be a strong word. If I’m jealous, I’m not capable of winning. I’ve always thought that. Probably not right. Don’t really care but it’s right for me.”

“I think he was a catalyst to our team wins. Like I told you down there, I really want the RangeGoats up there. It’s important to me. Doesn’t have to be important to everybody but it is what it is. Like it was cool. Like I smell like doo-doo right now but it would be cool to have three other guys up here to enjoy success,” he added.

In his interview, the LIV Golf champion recognized Taylor’s role as a catalyst for their team’s success. He emphasized the importance of their collective achievements. He said, “Talor and I are really close. I was like, word. We’ll leave it like that.”

Varner also revealed that it was because of Bubba Watson, who had personally reached out to him, that he joined the RangeGoats. The invitation from the golf great, along with the close bond he shares with Taylor, solidified his choice to be a part of the team.

The RangeGoats GC finished in third place during the LIV Golf event in Washington DC. Varner himself had a solid performance, shooting a final-round 4-under 68. Along with his teammates Watson, Gooch, and Wade Ormsby, the RangeGoats achieved a team counting score of -4 for the third round, contributing to their overall team score of -19. While they didn’t claim the team title, Varner’s individual $4 million victory will certainly be a great consolation prize for the golf pro.

This triumph significantly boosted Varner’s earnings for the year to a total of $7,565,666 and also marked his first win on American soil. Perhaps his second will soon follow, and maybe it will come along with his entire team! He would undoubtedly love that!
