Even though Tiger Woods has been off the greens most of this year, his association with the game is getting stronger. Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Golf League (TGL) is all set kick off next year in January, and many stars from varied fields have already invested heavily in TGL teams.

A few days back, TGL achieved a significant networking breakthrough with its partnership with $147.8 billion Disney’s ESPN, as confirmed by Rosalyn Durant, ESPN Executive Vice President. Most of the details are now clear regarding the matches and format but two remaining spots on teams could be a major chance for Woods to make peace with his dearly beloved PGA Tour’s merger partner, LIV Golf.

Will LIV golfers be a part of the new league?

The new league will have six teams of three players each. Out of 18, 16 players have been named as of now, and two slots remain open. Many people believe that the Greg Norman-led league players could be in the fray to occupy those two spots.

Well, to jog your memory, Woods has been a massive critic of the Saudi-Backed circuit since its inception. Additionally, Woods turned down a deal for approximately $1 billion from them. New reports suggest LIV stars Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson could be part of the TGL purely on the basis of their place of residence.

Nuclr Golf shared an analysis on Twitter, saying that currently every team member of the TGL resides in Florida. ”Makes sense logistically, especially when they have to travel to tournament weeks after the event.” And now that two seats are remaining, Koepka and DJ could fill up the slot since they both live in Florida. ”Two big names from South Florida are remaining after 16 places have been filled: Brooks and DJ, and all the guys get along with them. If the LIV / TOUR framework can be agreed upon, it wouldn’t be all that shocking if they are the two players who complete the roster.”

To remind you, before joining the rival league, DJ was close to Woods. In the past, Woods has referred to him as a ‘younger brother’. TGL could be a way of bringing both of them back together. It’s not far-fetched. It’s a strong possibility since the TGL roster is full of star players.

Who else is there on the TGL teams?

Fans will witness many great names competing in the tech-infused league. Woods and McIlroy will definitely be up there. Apart from ṭhem, Justin Thomas, Justin Rose, Adam Scott, Xander Schauffele, Max Homa, Rickie Fowler, Billy Horschel, and Collin Morikawa are part of the roster.

Korean golfing legend Tom Kim is also a team member. Tyrrell Hatton, Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood, Jon Rahm, and Matt Fitzpatrick — all of them as well as Justin Rose were part of Europe’s Ryder Cup win earlier this month — will also be seen in the TGL. In a few days, we will get to know who has acquired the remaining positions. Would LIV golfers take up the remaining two seats? Let us know in the comments.
