The golf world is still shocked by the news that it received on Tuesday this week. After all, it was the biggest twist ever, with the PGA Tour, the DP World Tour, and LIV Golf merging. But even more surprising was the fact that Tour pros such as Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy were kept in the dark about the deal!
Now, PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan is trying to gain these big names’ trust back with promises of a reward. However, this too has not been taken well by many in the golf community; after all, other PGA Tour pros believe that they too deserve a piece of these rewards.

It seemed that when Monahan shook hands with Saudis, he forgot about the golfers who proved their extreme loyalty to the PGA Tour by sticking around. Later, however, he addressed this concern head-on during his interview with the Golf Channel. Addressing the concerns of pros, he boldly stated that their loyalty would be rewarded. Despite the merger, he claimed that he had not forgotten about the players’ loyalty, who turned down offers worth over $800 million to join the former rival league.
At the players-only meeting at the Canadian Open, the decision to allow LIV golfers back on the PGA and European Tours was met with a severe backlash. One of the PGA Tour pros, Chesson Hadley, who first began playing in 2014, has come forward and demanded what is rightfully his. He has boldly stated that his loyalty and dedication should also be recognized by the Monahan.
A clip of his interview was shared by a popular golf account on Twitter, NUCLR GOLF, wherein he discussed the landmark decision. Discussing what the commissioner has said about rewarding Woods’ and McIlroy’s loyalty to the Tour, he said, “I would like to be rewarded for some loyalty.” Mentioning the players who switched to LIV, Hadley said that they did not do anything wrong and merely made business decisions.

Many in the golf community took a jab at the 35-year-old for wanting to be rewarded.
Is this a joke? Is he seriously implying that LIV made him an offer?

Some fans tried to explain to the golfer that life didn’t reward one for missed opportunities.
That’s not how real

Life doesn't work that way Chesson. If you pass on a business opportunity, you simply miss out. If you pass on a job offer from a new company w/a signing bonus to stay w/old company & then new company buys old company; You don't still get the signing bonus.

Some fans even took a dig at the PGA Tour.
The thing about loyalty is you’re only rewarded for it if the entity you’re loyal to wins in the end.
