Rory McIlroy’s close call at the 2023 Open Championship

Rory McIlroy’s pursuit of victory in the 2023 Open Championship fell short, as he settled for a respectable tied 6th place, despite an incredible display of brilliance and unwavering resolve. This result kept the Irishman in the same position he was in prior to the competition in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR), preventing him from achieving the desired No. 1 place.
