The 2023 PGA Championship has fired up the greens in Rochester. Everyone and their mother are tirelessly following every detail of the tournament. This does not only comprise the gameplay. Amidst an extraordinary second day at Oak Hill East Course, the World No. 11 attracted the attention of golf enthusiasts. While the Norwegian sits at a tie right now with two other golfers at T1, it was not his game that pushed him into the limelight. Rather, it was the distinctive fashion sense that the golfer carried quite well, which drew the attention of the audience.

The 25-year-old golfer gave the viewers a spectacular display of fine golfing skills by delivering a five-under par. The post match press conference witnessed Viktor Hovland take on the stage. He answered the questions pertaining to his mind set during the game, his progress and the flawless birdies that he executed. Among the horde of reporters waiting to address the PGA Tour pro, a few of them couldn’t stop themselves from asking about the noteworthy outfit he donned during the game.

Hovland had a confident answer ready for the golf audience. He said, “I mean, obviously going to Oklahoma State, I like the orange. I think the orange here on the side was maybe a bit much. I would have just gone for a white shirt. Other than that, I think it’s pretty sweet.

He also made a comment regarding the orange belt he was wearing and thought it was ‘pretty awesome‘. Not only this, we know that the color orange is Rickie Fowler’s signature style. Thus, the press also couldn’t stop from making that comparison, and asked Hovland if the Fowler had said anything about the outfit.

To which the 2020 Puerto Rico Open winner denied any such conversation. He also added, “I heard a couple of guys in the crowd were yelling ‘Go, Rickie.’ I guess, what’s the expression? Impersonation is the biggest form of flattery or something.” And the interviewer was quick to help the golfer with the idiom by quoting “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”

Apart from the media, many of the fans acknowledged Viktor’s feeling of confidence, and were quick to support the golfer’s choice of clothing.

As the tweet from Golf.com got viral, which consisted of Viktor reacting to his outfit, fans appreciated his strong mindset. In the clip, Hovland was witnessed commenting, “I don’t give a s***t anyways,” when the person in the video mentioned how golf fans don’t actually have a right to criticize his fashion sense.

Earlier, on the first day of the tournament the Norwegian golfer’s attire received quite a backlash. People verbally attacked the Pro for his fashion sense, and were brutal with their words. However, not today! After the confident reaction from Viktor got viral reflecting his positivity, people were quick to support him. They commented:
