Golf has time and again showcased a brilliant display of sportsmanship. One such eminent trait of this presentation is that it usually takes the form of small interactions between golfers and their fans. While this exchange can take various forms, lucky fans sometimes find themselves surrounded by a valuable lesson from their favorite players.
On similar lines, Patrick Reed also experienced a wholesome encounter with a fan that did not take time to go viral. However, the considerate action of the golfer wasn’t met with a similar reaction. The online audience was quick to dismiss his gesture with some harsh words and dredge up his ever-controversial past!

LIV Golf is currently stationed in the metropolitan realms of London. While the event is as extravagant as the rest of the LIV tournaments, the on-course action pulled out a “fore” call. Though a little delayed, it was delivered by Patrick Reed! To elaborate on the same, the first round of LIV London had an almost catastrophic turn of events when Reed tried to punch his ball out of the thick greens.
Accidentally, the ball flew in the direction of the viewers lined up to watch the game. Thanks to the spectator’s presence of mind, he was able to duck the ball, and no one was seriously injured. The deferred FORE from the 32-year-old golfer to the shocking situation a few seconds later helped lighten the situation, as it pulled out a laugh from some of the viewers.
Now, following this incident, Patrick Reed has once again found himself surrounded by some fans. Thankfully, this time it did not involve any possible mishaps or delayed calls. In fact, it was a heartwarming scenario of the golfer imparting lessons on his stunning short game for the fans. Thus, in accordance with Reed’s actions, LIV Golf Nation tweeted, “Short game savant Patrick Reed giving a lesson to some fans.”

Per the video, Reed can be witnessed providing step-by-step instructions in the form of a towel drill as he hits the golf ball for a shorter distance. Toward the conclusion of the tutorial, the happy fan thanked the golfer for his words.
However, the golf enthusiasts online showcased a completely different reaction than the fan’s response in the video. Many of them, in fact, appeared unwilling to let go of Reed’s previous controversies and the recent almost-accident on the greens.
Despite the touching lesson from Reed, fans had some harsh comments
Patrick Reed’s golf lesson for the fans grabbed enormous attention online. Unfortunately, many fans could hardly move forward from his previous controversy. They dug up his massive 2019 controversy from the third round of the Hero World Challenge, when he was dealt with a two-stroke penalty for improving his lie in the bunkers. The unforgiving fans commented:
First part of lesson. Improve your lie

Was this right before he showed him how to ground his club in the bunker?

One user in particular also had a sarcastic question for the fan that Reed had taught.
Did he teach how to move the ball without the camera watching you???

Meanwhile, another fan couldn’t stop himself from mentioning the unfortunate accident that featured Reed on Day 1 of the game.
Good thing there is no gallery.

However, amid the budding hatred, LIV Golf Nation had Reed’s back.
Hitting full swings out of that thick/long stuff can be unpredictable. The longer grass can grab your club face and shut it. Guy shouldn't have been standing there.

Despite a series of harsh comments, some of the Twitter followers couldn’t hold back from acknowledging the golfers’ helpful input.
Nice tip. Thanks

Regardless of what Twitter had to dish out, the putts Reed taught the enthusiastic fans will certainly be lessons they remember forever. And those fans will certainly never forget the LIV star’s kind nature during the session either.
