Jenny Shin finished T61 in the recently concluded 2024 TOTO Japan Classic. While this might not be on the list of some of her best performances, she did fire an excellent putt in the 9th hole of the first round to score a birdie. However, the recent development shared by the 32-year-old golfer has left the fans worried.
Looking at the putt, it was so good that the LPGA, LPGA Korea, and Jenny Shin herself shared it on their respective Instagram handles on November 1. While most fans applauded her effort in the comments, one specific individual noticed something completely different in the video. Surprised by the outfit Shin wore, @babs_0502 commented, “Why is she wearing jeans to play golf. Have a little respect for the game.”
In response to @babs_0502’s comment, another one of Jenny Shin’s fans came to the pro’s defense, as @thomfandrews said, “you don’t follow her very closely if you think she’d ever wear denim on the course.” Shin also found the former fan’s comment hilarious as she responded with a “😂.”

But this was not the last social media activity of the South Korean pro. Unlike the ‘jeans’ incident, Jenny Shin’s announcement on her X account was rather disappointing for her fans. She said she had withdrawn from The Annika Driven by Gainbridge at the Pelican tournament, writing, “Had to WD from Pelican to give myself more time to recover and focus on my rehab.”
Disappointing Asia swing with injury and WD. Not how I envisioned things to turn out, but I guess there are always different paths laid out for me. Had to WD from Pelican to give myself more time to recover and focus on my rehab. See you back at Naples, Florida for CME 👋🏻

One of her fans, @murphinkorea said, “Chin up, come back better and stronger. You had some great rounds on the Asian tour. It was awesome to watch you play in Korea once again,” in order to motivate the South Korean pro.
She will face a lot of competition from the likes of world no. 1 Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, Charley Hull, and 56 other competitors. We hope she starts training for the challenges ahead once she is done with her rehabilitation. When she does grace the Tiburon Golf Club’s Black Course, do you think she will come back stronger to grab the glory? Let us know in the comments section.
