As one of the most popular names in PGA Tour currently after his 3M Open win, Lee Hodges has also caught the attention of Travis Fulton, the StripeShowPodcast host. Thus, Hodges received the invitation to shed light on his performance and how he delivered such an outstanding performance last Sunday.
To this, Hodges said, “I feel I’ve always been a pretty good ball striker. It’s that this year hadn’t been my best,” explaining that he is good with his putting skills but that this year hasn’t proved to be the best for him, perhaps because he couldn’t make the cut in the Open Championship.

In addition to this, Hodges also said, “I think me and my coach have been kind of working on some things—not big things—but maybe I kind of got away from what made me a great ball striker, a little bit… I don’t hit it forever, but I hit it long enough, and I hit it pretty straight. I’ve really just been focusing on getting it in the fairway, and I’ve been doing a really good job of that as of late. It’s been giving me a lot of good opportunities to attack some flags.”
He brought attention to the fact that he and his coach had been working on his game. And that his gameplay had been aimed at getting his ball to the fairway and striking the flag.
