Danielle Kang geared up to participate in the Solheim Cup with all her preparations done. But tension arises for her mid-journey. She began her trip from Las Vegas and made a stopover in Amsterdam. And when she arrived in Malaga, she found out that her golf clubs were missing. At that point, Kang only had one of her 14 clubs with her.

Her putter which she carried was the only equipment that made it to Andalucia, Spain, and the rest 13 clubs were missing. Kang quickly jumped into action and posted a request to Twitter by tagging Solheim Cup USA and Transavia Flight to find them as soon as possible.

After two days full of worries, her prayers have been answered finally. She received her two bags filled with the 13 clubs on Wednesday. This news was shared by her captain Stacy Lewis on Twitter. She wrote: “We went from none to 2! Thanks to all who helped!! @daniellekang @TheSolheimCup @SolheimCupUSA.” And she shared a picture of Kang who is hugging her bags with joy.

This isn’t the first time that Kang lost her clubs before an important event. The British Airways misplaced her clubs ahead of the AIG Women’s Open. She had the support of her whole team all through the ordeal.

According to Kang, her entire team and her sponsors were incredibly supportive during this time of panic. In the presser, she said: “My captain, Stacy [Lewis], has been absolutely incredible. The entire U.S. team has been helping me. Everyone’s on top of it… My sponsor Titleist made up a second set that’s flying in temporarily tonight, and then Ping has made me a temporary set today that I got to play with, so we can at least test out the golf course.”

She was also glad that the putter didn’t go missing. She added: “Thankfully, the putter didn’t get lost. But it’s okay. The other 13 (clubs) are coming. It’s coming. We have faith. (Lewis) is on it.”
