LIV Golf Chicago is underway. Prominent names like Cameron Smith, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, and Bryson DeChambeau are headlining the event. Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter, who missed out on their spots in the Ryder Cup, are also in the fray and Garcia has particularly done well in the first round.

But it’s not smooth sailing for everyone. A LIV golfer appears to have too many things on his plate and his team captain acknowledges it after the opening round.

On the first day of LIV Golf Chicago on Friday in Illinois, USA Rich Harvest Farms, Captain of Stinger GC, Louis Oosthuizen made a par on 18 and ended the round at 5-under. The fellow teammate, Branden Grace who is soon going to be a father, meanwhile concluded the round with a score of 69. His team Stinger GC stands out as the sole leader. Oosthuizen himself shared the top spot with a few others in the individual category.

When asked what his plans were after a great opening round for the team, Oosthuizen appeared to play down the team’s achievement. And he has solid reasons. “No, we’ll just give that to whoever was struggling. I think Branden is going to so far have it on 2-under. No, we’ll relax. We’ll have dinner together. We’ve got all our families here,” he said.

He further added, “I know Branden has got a lot of things on his mind. His little one is due very shortly. Hopefully, he can manage to get through this week.”
