The Honda Classic is less than a day away from our TV screens before we witness some of the best golfers compete for the big prize. While the fans are enticed by the quality of golf from the upcoming PGA Tour event, the tournament is also home to many species of animals on its golf course. A video posted on Twitter sends a stern warning to all the participants set to compete in South Florida.
Since 2007, the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens in South Flordia has been the venue of the Honda Classic. While the event has given us many remarkable memories with respect to the sport, the habitants of the golf course have also been part of the highlight reel each year. Though it is popular for its “Bear Trap”, the South Florida golf course also has many other terrifying residents.

Just hours before the first tee shot at the Honda Classic, the PGA Tour posted a video on Twitter displaying some of the most scarring animal visits to the golf course in the last Honda Classic events. Alligator, which is one of the most common residents of most golf courses across the United States was also seen in the video.

“All sorts of trouble lurking around here”, said the commentator in the video. Another one added, “Keep your small dogs inside. And your toes”, while warning the viewers about the Alligators. Before more visuals of the Alligators were seen in the video, a snake just relaxing on the brown grass was also seen.

However, while the video mostly comprised animals, it did have a human being too. A man relaxing in his backyard was secretly being stalked by an Alligator from the lake was also displayed. “Probably used to seeing that Gator around”, said the commentator about the person who was unfazed about the mammal’s presence.
While most short videos from the nearly 2-minute compilation were frightening, some were also heartwarming. The Sacred Egyptian Geese were seen following a baby Alligator around the Greens in the PGA National Resort and Spa. After watching the unique sight, the commentator said, “I didn’t knew we were having a parade today”.
The video ends with more screentime of the Egyptian Geese who were seen troubling the 2017 Honda Classic winner Rickie Fowler during his one such round at the tournament. Nonetheless, as most players will be prepared to take on fellow Tour stars to win the upcoming event, after watching the video, they might as well have the plan to endure the habitants of South Florida in order to avoid being in a compilation next year.
