In recent years, there has been massive growth in the viewership and fan following of women’s golf. The competition along with the quality has grown immensely. With so much excitement building around the LPGA Tour, let’s take a look at the beautiful and mesmerizing US Women’s Open venues for the next decade.

The US Women’s Open is undoubtedly one of the biggest Majors in women’s golf. Australian golfer, Mingjee Lee, won this year’s edition of the Major at the Pine Needles Golf Club in North Carolina. However, the US Gold Association released the locations of future US Opens in recent years. Let’s take a look.

Where will the next five US Women’s Open be held?

Next year’s Major will be hosted at the legendary Pebble Beach Golf Links. The tournament will be played from July 6-9, 2023. The historic venue will host the maiden USWO and the 14th USGA championship since the course’s opening on February 22, 1919. It also remains the host of USWO in 2035, 2040, and 2048.

In 2024, nine years after the first US Women’s Open in Lancaster Country Club, the Major will return to the golf club in Pennsylvania. It’s one of the oldest golf clubs in the Keystone State, having been founded in 1900. In 1913, it relocated to its current site. In order to increase the course’s original 9 holes, William Flynn was hired in 1919. He came back in 1940 for a remodel, which remains the map of the course to this day.

Popular for Brooks Koepka’s 2017 US Open win on the course, the Erin Hills in Wisconsin will host the 2025 USWO. As per the schedule, the Major will take place from May 29-June 1, 2025. Prior to hosting the Women’s Major in two years, Erin Hills previously hosted the 2011 U.S. Amateur and 2008 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links.

The 2026 US Women’s Open will take place at Riviera Country Club in California. The course will host its 4th USGA Championship. Moreover, the Major will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the golf club, having opened in 1926. The dates for the event are yet to be revealed.

In 2027, the US Women’s Open will head to Ohio, where the ladies will compete for the Major at the Inverness Club. The course recently hosted the 2021 Solheim Club. Eight USGA championships, including four U.S. Opens, were previously held at the club. Its founding year was 1903. The current layout was built by Donald Ross in 1916. However, in 2018, Andrew Green finished a renovation.

Further venue details for US Open

The famous Women’s Major will compete at the Oakmont Golf Club in Pennsylvania in 2028. Having previously hosted the USWO in 1992, the legendary golf course will also host the same Major in 2038.

In 2029, the women will return to North Carolina to play the USWO at the Pinehurst Country Club. The venue will host its back-to-back US Open that year since even the Men’s US Open will occur in the same place. Having hosted 10 USGA championships previously, the Major will be exciting to watch.

The Interlachen Country Club in Minnesota will host its sixth USGA Championship while acting as the host in 2030. The USWO will be played on the 100th anniversary of Bobby Jones’ U.S. Open victory at Interlachen, who later went on to win the Grand Slam that year. The historic venue will start restorative work from next year onwards.

Though the Oakland Hills Country Club in Michigan has hosted 11 USGA Championships in the past, it will host its maiden US Woman’s Open in 2031. The veteran golf course has undergone several changes thrice, with the most recent being done last year. The venue will also host the 2042 USWO.

In 2032, the female golfers will head to Hollywood, as the Los Angeles Golf Club will host the US Women’s Open that year. The club is set to host next year’s Men’s US Open. However, it did host Women’s Amateur Golf nearly a century ago in 1930.

With many details being revealed, the fans are in for a treat. There have been massive changes in recent years in women’s golf. However, in nearly a decade, more modern approaches will be taken to excite the new group of fans. Nonetheless, when it comes to golf clubs, players as well as fans want the good old legendary courses to be the host.
