2023 started with a bang for Tiger Woods. Early in February, he made his return to the PGA Tour after being away for over 2 years. But all that hype was soon washed away, and the golf legends world took a turn for the worse! Early this month, his ex-girlfriend Erica Herman took the golf pro to court, and therein began the downward spiral of Wood’s personal life! And amid the tense battle he’s fighting, the golf pro suffers some more, this time at the hands of his fans.
The golf world deals Tiger Woods a devastating blow
It is quite safe to say that the 15-time major winner has seen better days. From defending his honor to fighting the whopping $30,000,000 lawsuit that his disgruntled ex-girlfriend has filed against him, he certainly has seen a lot of trouble recently. And yet the golf fans add to his misery by turning on him!

Recently, news came to light about Golf Channel’s lead analyst, Brandel Chamblee, being excited to watch the 82-time PGA Tour winner compete in the Masters. “What I saw earlier this year from Tiger Woods made me look forward to the Masters with great anticipation. He certainly has the world of golf’s attention,” he said, as per TW Legion and NUCLR Golf.

While someone is excited to see him play may sound like news that would put a smile on the golf pro’s face, it quickly turned into a nightmare. Fans began flooding the posts, expressing their disagreement with the analyst.

They claimed that Augusta was one of the toughest navigable courses and that Woods could never perform well in his already ailing condition. Some even claimed that the golf legend had no shot at the green jacket event this year.

Fans further chimed in, claiming that the PGA Tour legend’s best days were way in the past and that now he was “in no shape to go all the way.” The fans believed that Woods’ performance next month at Augusta would be underwhelming!
There’s a big difference between playing and playing to be competitive/win. Last year Tiger taught us he will push his limits but his body was in no shape to go all the way.
