Does Hideki Matsuyama's gear give him an edge, or is it all about his skill and dedication?

Hideki Matsuyama has been on a roll at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. The 32-year-old Japanese Pro has been on the tour for over a decade now and retains a total of 9 career wins so far. This season, he bagged a total of five top-10 finishes, which includes his win at the Genesis Invitational back in February.

Out of the sixteen events that he has participated in, Matsuyama has managed to make the cut in every one of them, except for the Genesis Scottish Open last month. However, the Olympic bronze medal winner is already compensating for it at the TPC Southwind this weekend. He has been maintaining his position on the top 5 of the leaderboard. But what are the gears that are helping him with the redemption?
