After the PGA Tour and DP World Tour started their seasons this year, it is now the LPGA Tour’s turn to kickstart the 2024 season. And it will be doing so with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions next week. Debuted in 2019 on the Tour, the event returns for its sixth edition this year with a star-studded field.
Also held this week will be a celebrity pro-am for the prize of $500,000. As the LPGA Tour prepares to make its phenomenal arrival, the question arises whether the young face of female golf, Nelly Korda, will be playing at the event or not.

The LPGA inaugural event for 2024 will be played from January 18–21 at the Lake Nona Golf Course in Orlando, Florida, and boasts a prize purse of $1.5 million. The top players in the female golf world are confirmed to appear, and one of them is Nelly Korda.
The LPGA has announced the list of contestants, and Korda’s name is on it. On the field, Korda will compete against Jennifer Kupcho, Lilia Vu, Lydia Ko, Charley Hull, and many other top names of the female tour.
She was last seen at the PNC Championship with her father, Petr Korda, where the athletic father-daughter duo finished in T13. During the entire 2022–23 season, the LPGA cover girl appeared to be struggling as she could not win any tournaments on the tour. With a strong return to 2024, Korda probably hopes to start it with a bang.
So far, five editions of the tournament have been held, but the victories have been enjoyed by Danielle Kang, Gaby Lopez, and Korda’s elder sister Jessica Korda in the past. Last year, she managed to get close to the top but was beaten by Canadian opponent Brooke Henderson.
