Since the 2022 British Open, Woods has played very few tournaments due to the lingering effects of the injuries. He also has plantar fasciitis, which has slowed down his recovery.
As a result, he has not played in as many tournaments as he would have liked. He made some appearances on the tour, but not enough to be considered a regular player.
During a telephonic interview, Immelman suggested that Woods will return to the course for this year’s Master’s. “I do anticipate him playing the Masters,” he said.
The 2008 Masters Champion believes that Woods is practicing tirelessly. “I spent quite a lot of time with him towards the end of last year and as always he’s working hard.”
Furthermore, he believes that Woods is in good form. But he is worried about how the golf great will manage to walk the course with his injuries. “He has to make sure he is really ready to walk that course four or five days in a row. That for me would be the only question mark for him because his game looked pretty good when I seen him,” he added.
Immelman admires Woods’ work ethics. He believes that Woods is giving his all to return to normalcy for his family. At the same time, he is also trying to working towards being able to compete.
