During the press conference for the Presidents Cup held on September 22, both the former world No. 1’s expressed their happiness. Even though the joy was surrounded by the competition to get more points for their team, they are pleased about it.

Thomas is relishing the opportunity to win a point for their team at the Presidents Cup and a point with one of his best friends. It’s just one of those heavenly feelings for him. Spieth and Thomas have been close friends since they were both 13 years old, and competed against each other for the first time at the Junior All-Star event at Walnut Creek Country Club. They both opened with a score of 68 during the two-day event. But Spieth took a two-stroke lead on the front nine of the second day. In the end, Spieth emerged victorious.
