While the Masters leaderboard undergoes ongoing shifts with progressing rounds, the top 50 have already made the cut! Indeed, a notable accomplishment, and more so for the LIV golfers such as Patrick Reed, and others. Sadly, there were also a few unexpected pros who failed to make the cut!

Reed’s rounds at Augusta of 74 and 70 failed to impress the fans as upon the news of his stellar major championship track record came to light. Just recently, LIVGolfNation shared a post on X expressing admiration for Captain America, stating, “Reed has made the cut in 15 out of the last 16 Major Championships.” Pretty nice, right? Well, not as per fans!

It was during his days at the University of Georgia that Reed was first accused of cheating by his teammates. During one qualifying round, the 1x Masters winner hit his ball into the rough, but when found, it was closer to the fairway. When he moved to Augusta State, cheating accusations did not leave him. Reed was accused of shaving strokes off his scorecards. None of these cheating nuisances were caught on camera, but what happened in 2019 was.

At the Hero World Classic, Reed was spotted trying to improve the lie of his ball twice. The golfer blamed it on the TV cameras’ angle and said that they made it look worse. He was penalized for two strokes. Even in 2023, at the Dubai Desert Classic, the golfer claimed to have spotted his ball on the 17th hole in a tree that gave him a drop. However, after a careful breakdown from NBC Golf, it was noted that the golfer and on-the-course officials incorrectly identified the tree where his ball was stuck.

Despite Reed’s long-standing association with being a cheater, the professional has made efforts to refute the accusations leveled against him. Regrettably, these efforts have proven futile, as he faces a similar fate with this post.

Fans continue to criticize Patrick Reed, labeling him a “cheater”

However, as the post gained traction and went viral, it didn’t take long before the comment section was flooded with numerous accusations directed at the LIV golfer. Now, referencing past events, fans are directing their criticism towards Reed, expressing their discontent.

Continuing, after the caption “the numbers don’t lie,” this fan added another line: “And the cameras don’t lie either!” This reference was made in connection with the video of Reed that went viral in 2019, which showed him adjusting his ball.

Another fan bluntly labeled Reed as “a cheater,” asserting that the golfer’s actions had been “caught on camera” in the past. Hinting at what happened at Augusta State when Reed was accused of tampering with the scorecard, the fan said, “I don’t trust the scorecard he signs.”

Utilizing LIV Golf Nation’s “Captain America” reference, this fan sarcastically commented, “Captain America is a cheat; the cameras don’t lie,” while also highlighting the infamous 2019 scandal and maybe the 2023 incident as well!

Once more, the fan’s comment carried the consistent branding of Reed as a “cheater.” Additionally, they highlighted the complete loss of Reed’s credibility due to his repeated cheating incidents that have come to light in the past years, unequivocally stating, “His credibility is lost.”
