Axel, according to birthcare.com, means “father of peace.” It is a Swedish name and since Elin Nordegren, Charlie’s mother, is from Sweden, the name fits perfectly for the young Woods.
According to People, the goat had mentioned why the couple named their son Charlie Axel. “We had a couple names, and Charlie just fit,” said Tiger. He further added that Elin’s brother’s name is Axel and the couple wanted the name to stay in the family.

Recently, Charlie had made headlines for winning second place at the Disney Junior Open in Orlando. The 13-year-old scored a total of 3-under par at the two-round event. Notably, the Open is a part of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, in which Tiger is an investor.
