Despite not playing the 2020-2021 season, former World Number One accumulated a whopping $73.5 million in total earnings last year. According to Sportico, he is the 10 highest-paid athlete globally in 2022, and he is the only golfer in the top 20. Moreover, he climbed up three spots from 2021, where he was in the 13th position on the list. Woods was also the highest-paid golfer over the past year.
Woods accumulated $8.5 million through salary and winning, including $8 million that he won through the PGA Tour’s Players Impact Program. But the primary source of his earnings was his marketing and endorsement deals with some of the big companies in the world.
He jacked up a whopping $65 million through endorsements, the third-highest for any athlete. He received this mammoth amount from 10 companies associated with the 82-time PGA Tour winner. Those 10 companies are Nike, Rolex, Bridgestone, Monster Energy, Hero Motocorp, Taylormade, GolfTV, Full Swing Simulators, Kowa, and Centinel Spine. Moreover, his figures prove that even if the five-time Masters winner does not play much, he will receive huge sums through his endorsement deals.
