Rory McIlroy is currently playing at the Dubai Invitational. The 16x DP World Tour winner is currently leading the scoreboard after two rounds. At the post-match press conference, McIlroy was asked about his thoughts on Keith Pelley leaving the CEO position of the European Tour.

McIlroy said, “I’m happy for him. I think the job he’s going to is one that he’s probably wanted for a long, long time, being from Canada, especially Toronto.” As Pelley is a Canadian national, the change of position makes it much more special for him, as he will be returning to serve his country’s sports front.
