Cameron Smith is not unknown to anyone truly keeping up with the world of golf. The star player is at the peak of the LIV players world rankings. He is the highest-ranked LIV player as the world number three. The Australian professional golfer continues to make rounds for a multitude of reasons. Whether his decision to shift to LIV Golf or the money that comes with it, Smith is put in the spotlight very often.

Recently, Cameron was asked what he has been looking forward to while being scheduled to play against Phil Mickelson in the coming days. His answer to the question, however, was both sweet and bitter.

Cameron Smith is at the top of his golfing career. Even Phil Mickelson has appreciated the rising golfing sensation for his skill at the sport. Mickelson said, “He’s Champion Golfer of the Year. He’s got the Claret Jug. I think he was sipping out of it last night. I mean, that’s a strong flex.”

Cameron was also asked during the Captains’ Selection Press Conference what exactly he is looking forward to while playing against Mickelson on Friday. His way of dealing with the question stood out.

Smith said, “Yeah, I mean, it’s not going to be a gimme match. I think Phil is kind of playing it up a little bit. Phil is still playing some pretty good golf. I think he has probably beaten me in the last couple of weeks. Yeah, so I’m looking forward to it. It should be a good match.”

The pro golfer continued, “We actually played together in Bangkok. Phil played well. He still does it right for an old fella.”

Even though Smith praised Phil for his determined play of golf. The latter part of his statement did raise some bows. All in all, the verdict to the destiny of these pro golfers is not far anymore. The answers to their banter will come this Friday.

Smith once got roasted online

Apparently, even the World no. 2 is not safe from a roasting. Cameron Smith recently faced a bold roast in Chicago. It happened on a weekly golf podcast hosted by Blake Webber, Jake Adams, Griff Pippin, and Mark Smalls.

The host and comedians made what the internet termed a “funny” roast surrounding Smith. They even said, “Number two golfer in the World, number one aquatic flightless bird.” The roast, however, did not end so easily.

The hosts also mocked the pro golfer for his pants being ironed. Their exact words were, “Dude, Cam, thank you so much for ironing your pants. We’re sure the owner of this course really appreciates that.”

Clearly, even the $100m LIV golf star is not safe from being trolled online.

Moreover, they also discussed his mustache. They said, “ Your mustache is so thin, it gives directions instead of rides.” The roast went on and on. While some social media users appreciated them for the content, others were quick to point out how some parts of it were not so funny.
