When it comes to America’s presidents and golf, Donald Trump is believed to be one of the best golfers, with an impressive handicap score of 2.5. That being said, the former POTUS shows his love and passion for playing golf more often than not. Courtesy of this, Trump has been seen playing club championships throughout the year on his various golf courses spread across the states and the world.

Recently, the 45th president also played in a club championship, where he won the event. Although months ago, Trump was brutally criticized for having a ‘horrible swing’, his latest victory has successfully showcased his golfing skills and has made the critics take back their words. Despite the unusual swing, Trump won the Club Championship at his course in Palm Beach, making it his third victory of the year following his wins at the Senior and Super Senior Championship.

David Thompson first posted the video on Instagram, which was later shared on X (formerly Twitter) by NUCLR Golf. In the video, the spectator is extremely excited by Trump’s putting at the 27th hole for the victory. As he putts the final hole, one audience member excitedly screamed in celebration, “One Time! One Time!!! Holy Sh*t, He Made It!!!”the 

There have been numerous instances where Donald Trump has made it to the headlines for his golf and golf-related ventures. Just like other times, the snippet shared once again found the audience in the comment sections. While many were surprised and doubting the victory of the former POTUS, several were happy with Trump clinching another win to his name.

Donald Trump’s win makes the golf world his fan

A lot of times, the former POTUS has been subjected to allegations of cheating at the events that have been held at his golf courses. Even after his recent win, it appears Trump hasn’t been able to convince a few in the audience, as there were some accusations from the golf viewers and more appreciation for Trump’s victory.

Donald Trump is currently running his campaign for the 2024 presidential election to be held in November. And this golf fan, who is undoubtedly impressed with the former POTUS’ skill on the greens, perhaps made it clear that his vote was going out to him, dubbing him the US’ “president”!

One user was surprised that Trump was, in actuality, good at playing golf. While, of course, the billionaire has a reputation for trash talking, he’s also made it clear that he can back that up, at least when it comes to the game on the course. And perhaps this fan didn’t expect that!

Not all, however, were impressed with Trump. One critic was even skeptical about his win at the event! They cited possibilities behind how things actually went down. As per them, the former president either cheated or the people he was up against were“sycophants that threw the tournament.” 

This fan commented on Trump’s versatile resume, which included billionaire, business tycoon, politician, and even former president, and stated that he could now add being a “golf champ” to it as well. Despite it not being Trump’s first win, considering he’s been crowned the victor in many celebrity events in the past and another just earlier this week, the phrase, however, does have a nice ring to it!

Some fans were even quick to point out that Trump’s victory was even sweeter because of his age. They were stunned to see the former POTUS dominating the course at the age of 77! To put things into perspective, that is just 6 years younger than the mighty Jack Nicklaus, who retired nearly 2 decades ago. And while he undoubtedly could not hold a cadle to the golf legend’s achievements, this was a big win in itself!
