The 13th event on the PGA Tour recently ended, crowning Max Homa as the victor. The golf pro has won twice already this season, but that is still not his greatest accomplishment of late. Last November, the golf pro and his wife, Lacey Croom, had a baby boy, Cam. The new father is very excited about his ‘dad duties’. He recently even revealed a story he plans to tell his son in the future, that is sure to make the 2-and-a-half-month-old think he’s the worst.
His recent win certainly overjoyed the golf pro. He was especially happy that his family was there to witness it. Soon after claiming the title, he rushed over and celebrated with them too. It was clear to everyone how important they were to him.

In an interview conducted after the match, as per Golf Channel, the golfer spoke about how hard he had worked for the win. “I feel like I’ve almost worked harder for this,” he claimed. “Because I want to spend as much time as I possibly can helping her and being with Cam.” He stated that he wanted to be the best father and, at the same time, “the best golfer on the planet,” so it wasn’t easy.
"He has no idea what I did, but I will tell him this story ad nauseam, and he will probably think I'm the worst for it, but this will be my corny dad story…"

Homa claimed that, now that he was a father, he worked hard at two things. His game and his relationship with Cam “It feels a little bit more difficult, but it’s a million times more rewarding,” claimed the six-time PGA Tour winner. The 32-year old knew his son knew nothing about his recent win, but he vowed to constantly remind him about it when he was older.

“He has no idea what I did, but I will tell him this story ad nauseam,” said the champion hilariously. “He will probably think I’m the worst for it.” Homa was determined to make his son cringe at it, often narrating how he grabbed the win when Cam was too young to remember and laughing and saying that it was his “corny dad story” that he’d tell every Thanksgiving.

When talking about the difficulty he faced while juggling the two roles, Homa had nothing but praise for his wife. “My wife just seems to handle everything so easily,” he said. The recent winner added that she was his rock and nothing would’ve been possible without her. The golf pro claimed that she helped him be a dad and a golfer.
“From handling Cam when he was at practice to constantly being on the road with him, his wife’s efforts were nothing short of amazing,” claimed Homa. In the end, he owed it all to her.
