Hayden Springer is arguably on the verge of becoming a fan favorite. Currently competing at the 2024 John Deere Classic, Springer made a remarkable start. He carded a stunning 12-under-59. His impressive scorecard featured two eagles on the 2nd and 17th holes and a whopping eight birdies. He became the first player since Paul Goydos in 2010 to break that 60 at the TPC Deere Run. Now he proudly sits at the top of the leaderboard after Thursday’s play.
The eagle on the 17th hole was a stinger, as he sank a pinpoint shot from 55 yards out, showcasing his precision and skills. Skills that cannot be laid out without the proper equipment. So, what does the emerging golfer carry in his bag? Let’s dive deeper!

Hayden Springer uses a brand new Titleist GT3 driver with an eight-degree loft. The shaft fitted to it is a Mitsubishi Diamana GT 70 TX. It provides precise speed and distance with exceptional playability. Titleist traditionally introduces new products to its Tour staff before launching them at retail. The new Titleist GT drivers were first spotted online at the Titleist official website and a tour event, and they became eligible for play by the world’s best on Thursday, June 6th, 2024.
Moreover, his preferred choice of 3-wood is the new Titleist GT2 Fairway Wood with a 13.5-degree loft. It has a Mitsubishi Diamana GT 80 TX shaft. It provides flight down with low spin for those long shots. The 27-year-old uses a new Titleist GT3 Fairway Wood with an 18-degree loft as his 5-wood choice and pairs it with a Project X HZRDUS Black 80 6.5 shaft.
However, the GT version is only available for the Tour staff, and its availability for retail and price is not known yet. Wyndham Clark, the 2023 U.S. Open winner, stated while talking about this new driver, “It’s faster (than my previous TSR3); I felt like I got 2-3 mph more ball speed, which is amazing. And it has really consistent spin, which is obviously huge for what we do out here.”
The swing. The sound.
