Well, unlike the rest of the players, Patrick had to face backlash not just for losing the prestigious Ryder Cup but also for the silent protest he carried out.

However, things have finally started to look better for the 2021 FedEx Cup winner. This has happened thanks to the golf world’s living legend, Tiger Woods.

Patrick Cantlay’s recent ray of hope

After a long period of disappointment, Cantlay has finally found hope in the form of Tiger Woods’s TGL Golf. The official account of TGL Golf recently posted a picture of Patrick Cantlay, welcoming him to the golf league, set to launch in 2024.

This has come as a sigh of relief after the tense professional atmosphere Cantlay has recently been surrounded by on all fronts. The happy announcement is a time to rejoice for Cantlay’s supporters.

TGL Golf’s official Instagram account wrote, “We can’t wait to see eight-time PGA Tour champion and 2021 FedExCup winner, Patrick Cantlay compete in the inaugural season of TGL.” All in all, destiny has finally turned in the favour of the American professional golfer after a very rough patch in his professional career.

TGL is set to start in January next year. It will be conducted on weeknights and will go in sync with the PGA Tour calendar. Only time will tell what’s next for Cantlay. However, we can focus on what has happened to him so far till then.

Why has Patrick Cantlay faced hatred?
