After carding his worst round at the PGA Championship, Tiger Woods officially withdrew from the 2022 PGA Championship due to soreness. Hence, the golf fans will not be able to see him compete in the final round later today.

Not to forget, Woods injured his right leg last year after meeting a near-fatal accident in February. As a result, he was out of competitive golf for nearly nine months.

Woods’ playing partner on Saturday, Shaun Norris, also spoke about Tiger’s struggles on the golf course. Admired his fighting spirit, he said, “He grinds through everything, and he pushes himself through all the pain. It’s not easy to see a guy like that go through that and struggle with that.”
Norris’s words prove the challenges Woods was facing while playing in the third round on Saturday.

What did Woods shoot in his third round?
Tiger shot a third round of nine-over-par (79) on a tough day at Southern Hills Country Club. It was his fifth-worst round at any PGA Tour event. His round of 79 included three bogeys and one triple-bogey on the opening nine holes. As a result, he moved out at six-over-par (41).
