Brooks Koepka found his mojo back in Singapore. Talor Gooch, his Smash teammate, said it’s hard to topple the man when he is the overnight leader heading to the final round. And Koepka showed why! Fending off late threats from Ripper GC captain Cameron Smith, Koepka prevailed with a two-shot victory. That puts $4 million extra in his pockets.

Sitting four shots behind Koepka, Dustin Johnson bagged his third top-10 this season. Two of the leading names have earned more than $80 million combined. But who has the upper hand in terms of big bucks?

Where does Brooks Koepka stand on the LIV money list?

Dustin Johnson was the money leader heading to Singapore. For his T-31 at Adelaide, the 24-time PGaTour winner pocketed $160,000. So far before Singapore, the LIV Golf winner has bagged $53,360,797 in total. A third of which came courtesy of being the 2022 LIV Golf Individual Champion, which added $18 million to his bank account.

Koepka, who turned 34 just days ago, has four victories so far on the breakaway side. Till Adelaide, his total LIV earning was $28, 876, 100. Singapore’s victory will add another $4 million to that, which takes him closer to Ripper GC Captain Cameron Smtih, sitting at the third spot in the LIV Golf Money list.

Clearly, that’s still way short of Dustin Johnson’s $53 million in individual LIV earnings. However, the 4Aces GC captain is chased by Koepka’s teammate, Talor Gooch. The Oklahoma star, a former teammate of DJ, is only a million behind the veteran. Like Johnson, Gooch too earned a chunk of it as the 2023 LIV Golf Individual Champion.

From how it stands, Brooks Koepka needs to keep that momentum going till the end of the season to catch up with Dustin Johnson and Talor Gooch. The nine-time PGA Tour winner can surely look to LIV Golf Singapore as the launching pad for that.

Pessimist Koepka found hope in Singapore

Koepka was worried about his game before the LIV Gof Singapore. Balls were “not going inside the hole,” the five-time Major winner had quipped. On a serious note, the 34-year-old was trying to figure out what was wrong with his putting. And for the past four months, with a new mallet putter in his hand, Brooks Koepka has been looking for answers on the greens. He hoped that grinding day in and day out would help him improve. And well, it seems like it finally has!

At the end of Sunday, in Singapore, Koepka was the fifth-best player in the field in terms of putting average and finding greens in regulation. “It’s all starting to come around. I feel I put in a lot of work,” the 34-year-old said after the final round. Koepka missed only 11 fairways at Sentosa Golf Club. But the Jupiter resident saved par in every one of them. Koepka only picked up four bogeys in his last six rounds through Adelaide and Singapore.

Undoubtedly, he’ll hope that it’s something he can carry forward to Valhalla this month when he tries to defend his PGA Championship title.
