It’s finally here! The iconic movie that made thousands laugh out loud. And now, Adam Sandler is bringing it back with a part 2. We are talking about the iconic Happy Gilmore 2! The movie is officially in its ‘work in progress’ mode. But guess what? We’ve got the scoop on all the PGA Tour and LIV Golf golfers making cameo appearances.
For those who might need a little refresher, Happy Gilmore hit theaters back in 1996. The movie is centered around Happy Gilmore, played by Adam Sandler, a failed hockey player who ends up saving his grandmother’s house from being foreclosed. Later, Happy discovers he has this amazing talent for driving a golf ball incredible distances and decides to join the PGA Tour.
But, just like any other comedy movie, unconventional techniques, explosive temperament, and lack of golfing finesse clashed with the traditionally refined world of golf, resulting in outrageous critics that turned the golf world upside down. But it is still many’s favorite. And nearly 30 years later, Sandler is stepping back into those shoes. But this time, he has an impressive team of golfing legends with him.

PGA Tour and LIV Golf Stars joining the ‘funny as hell’ sequel
During a recent chat on SiriusXM’s “Gravy and the Sleeze” show, Jordan Spieth spilled the beans. He revealed he shot a cameo alongside other current PGA Tour stars and iconic legends. The lineup includes the likes of the golden bear of the golfing world—Jack Nicklaus, Rickie Fowler, Lee Trevino, and Corey Pavin! “I filmed a scene with Rickie, Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, and Keegan Bradley,” Spieth shared. However, he kept mum on the specifics of the scene and the story.
And hold on—John Daly is in on the mix too! Known for his larger-than-life personality, he also confirmed his cameo for the movie earlier this year. “I would love to think so,” Adam Sandler said when asked about Daly’s involvement. Sandler further added, “You never know, but I love him.” Other big names making appearances include Travis Kelce, Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, and even Tiger Woods’ son, Charlie. Yes, you read that right! Charlie Woods is set to make a cameo in the movie as well.
But what about Tiger Woods himself? Adam Sandler expressed his enthusiasm for having Woods on board. “I would love it. We’ll see,” Sandler said. “I’m going to write all my dreams, and then you never know what’s going to happen.” Interestingly, there’s buzzing excitement around Rory McIlroy possibly appearing as well. Apparently, some chatter from Wentworth Golf Club during the BMW PGA Championship hinted at his involvement. Talk about a star-studded affair!
Not only this, but the LIV Golf legend Bryson DeChambeau at last revealed it today through his Instagram post. “What an experience…HAPPY GILMORE 2 is coming to Netflix in 2025 👀,” the pro captioned the post, where he is standing with a trophy in his hand alongside Adams.
