The next tournament on the PGA Tour, the 3M Open, has rolled out today with big names eyeing a win. The event has a ludicrous first prize of $1.4 million, along with other impressive perks.

And while ago on the green today, a PGA Tour Pro had a bizarre accident that led to an embarrassing moment. And fans are expressing mixed reactions to the incident. Some are sympathizing while others went ahead and trolled him for it.

Making the golf ball reach its destination becomes a herculean task when hurdles like dessert, trees, or water bodies are in the way. And facing a similar problem on the course was PGA Tour pro Adam Hadwin, playing at TPC Twin Cities. His first day turned out to be a disaster when an unfortunate shot landed his ball in a lake on the course.

The PGA Tour has shared a short video from TPC today where Hadwin made a miscalculated shot on the green and which landed his ball in the waterbody.

The PGA Tour also sympathized with the golfer through their Instagram post. Though it was a grave error on Hadwin’s part, he did not express any sort of reaction to the debacle. Hadwin is otherwise a good player and has fared well in this season of the tournaments. However, fans were quick to use this opportunity to react to the unfortunate incident.

This unfortunate shot has come just a month after his other big mishap where he was tackled by a security guard at the Canadian Open, and people did not hold back. Most of them pulled his leg, while some showed him with empathy too.

Adam’s wife Jessica Hadwin, is an active user on Twitter, and is yet to share her reaction to this incident. Besides Hadwin, the other players competing at the event are Justin Thomas and last year’s defending champion Tony Finau. The prize purse for the final event of the PGA Tour’s 2023 season is set at $7.8 million and the top 70 players with the highest FedEx points will stand a chance in the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
