Sebastian Korda contrary to usual days was seen on a golf course instead of a tennis court. Little did he know that he would get a chance to interact with the legend himself, Tiger Woods. World no. 41 was there to support her sister, Nelly Korda, the no. 1 on the Women’s World Golf Rankings at the PNC championship in Orlando. The family that plays together stays together. This seems very much true for the Korda family as it turned brother, Sebastian, from a tennis player to a golf caddie for his sister Nelly.

The family duo of a golfer and a tennis player caddie did not do a bad job in the tournament and landed the 12th position in the PNC championship. But that was not the highlight for the Korda family during the PNC championship. The Korda family got an opportunity to meet the legend, the 15 times major champion, Tiger Woods.

Korda family gets to meet their favorite player ever, Tiger Woods

As soon as the first round of the championship ended, star-struck Nelly Korda walked up to Woods and requested a picture with her brother Sebastian and father, Petr Korda. Tiger Woods shot a friendly quip at Sebastian on being introduced by her sister. “What’s up big guy? Aren’t you supposed to be practising?”

Sebastian’s first meeting with Woods didn’t let him curtail his excitement. He called his meeting with Tiger Woods unbelievable and said, “He’s probably our family’s favorite athlete. Any time he would play a tournament, we were all glued to the TV.”

Woods was seen in action at the PNC championship 10 months post his life-shaking car accident. Just like the drooling Korda family, the golf fans were drooling to see their favorite golfer back in action. I am sure we all enjoyed seeing Woods with his junior self. Woods played his last match in July but he had to withdraw from the US Open, which was the third major of the year giving more healing time to his body. All of us are waiting for the 15-times major winner to be back in better shape and on the field.
