LIV Golf and PGA Tour have always been in a position where they have locked horns. The two rival tours have managed to bag all top talent in the golfing world. The only catch is their rivalry, keeping the talent divided.

LIV Golf is a league-based tour where players have contractual obligations. The contract entails lucrative deal amounts that the golfers are given upon signing. This gives them stability in terms of finances which is a major attraction for many golfers. Top names of the PGA Tour like Phil Mickelson, Byron DeChambeau, Sergio Garcia, etc have made the move to LIV. Now, Brooks Koepka has recently opened up about his signing amount.

Brooks Koepka is one of the top players in LIV Golf. He was recently spotted with Jake Paul, on his YouTube channel. The show called BS featured Koepka on its 30th Episode called Brooks Koepka’s $1M Boxing Match With Bryson, Spending $100M LIV Deal, Hating Golf & More.

The video has them go over a bunch of topics but the one thing that struck out was his segment based on the LIV contract amount. Jake Paul was curious about how much Koepka got on signing the contract.

When he asked the 5-time major winner what his cheque was worth, he laughed it off. Following this, the host asked him to just state whether it was an 8 or a 9-figure contract. Koepka smiled and said, “It was 9.”

Jake also said, “For those who can’t count that’s like a hundred million or more.” The LIV golfer couldn’t contain his happiness and said, “It was pretty good, I was really happy.”

Brooks Koepka reveals the dangers of getting “too comfortable”

Further speaking to Paul, Koepka also discussed the dangers of becoming “too comfortable” in one’s career after achieving success. He admitted that after winning his fourth major, he became complacent and slacked off in his training resulting in injuries. He recognized the need to break bad habits and remain dedicated to his profession.

The conversation also touched on the LIV/PGAT merger and the nature of golf as a sport. Koepka’s appearance on the podcast fueled speculation about potential boxing matches involving him, Jake Paul, and his rival Bryson DeChambeau, following a challenge he issued in 2021.
