The latest post by LIV Golf Communication on X revealed the appointment of two seasoned professionals to key leadership roles. John Ruzich joins as Chief Legal Officer, overseeing all legal functions across the league and its 13 teams, while Denise Taylor takes the reins as Head of Product & Technology, leading global technology solutions and products. “LIV Golf hires John Ruzich as Chief Legal Officer and Denise Taylor as Head of Product & Technology”, read the post.

Ruzich brings extensive experience from his tenure as Chief Administration Officer and Chief Legal Officer at Legends, a premier live events company. Taylor boasts a wealth of expertise in sports, live events, and large-scale technology projects, having held executive roles at AEG, Westfield, Legends, and Tottenham Hotspur FC. Both industry veterans will be based in New York and commence their roles this month. “I am confident that their strategic vision and commitment to excellence will not only strengthen our legal and technology departments but also propel us to new heights in 2025 and beyond.”

A potential alliance between LIV Golf and the DP World Tour is gaining momentum, with some insiders suggesting a joint venture could create a lucrative worldwide circuit rivaling the PGA Tour. “I would love to see some sort of cooperation between the tours,” says Adrian Meronk, a former LIV Golf pro. “All the fines and not having proper World Rankings makes no sense… I like the idea of everyone getting together and creating a worldwide tour everywhere except the United States. It would be awesome.”

Laurie Canter, another former LIV regular now on the DP World Tour, agrees, “LIV and the DP World Tour are the genuine worldwide tours now… With LIV and the DP World Tour, it feels like there should be a natural synergy.” However, Canter also acknowledges the importance of PGA Tour collaboration saying, “Without some PGA Tour collaboration or understanding… I don’t know what solves those two entities trying to win on their own.
