Greg Norman Expresses Affection Towards His Golden Child in an Unusual Way on His Special Day; Not Many Fans On Par With It

The giant shark of the golf world, Greg Norman, who served the PGA Tour for years, last year became the CEO of a newly founded Saudi-backed league called LIV Golf. And as this PIF-funded league had huge monetary backing, several golfers defected to LIV for its lucrative deals.

Now Greg Norman’s golden child, who had been showcasing excellent putting in the LIV events, has a special message from the 2-time PGA Tour winner, drawing varied reactions from the golf community.

Cameron Smith has had a great year on the LIV Golf schedule so far. He had two LIV wins in 2023, first in the LIV Golf Invitational London with scores of 63-67-68 and then in the LIV Golf Invitational Bedminster with scores of 66-67-68. 

Now, after his latest win in Bedminster, he is one of the top-ranking golfers who has been a part of the golf world’s discussion lately. And his stellar performance of 12-under 201 is beyond comprehension as well. 

Thus, Greg Norman displays a gesture of affection for this Aussie on his special day, being an Australian himself. Greg Norman shared a post on his Instagram handle. In that Instagram video, the six-time PGA Tour winner is seen loitering on his lawn with a grass-cutting machine. 

Along with that video, Norman also wrote, “Must be an Aussie thing 🙂 🇦🇺 Happy birthday mate @cameronsmithgolf”. This post had a diverse range of reactions from fans.

The reactions from the fans were heterogeneous in nature and reflected their mixed thoughts. 

Some fans stated that the grass-cutting act was for video purposes, “😂 Turns to camera after mowing ten yards to ask the lawn guy if he got the video ok” and “Mow’s one strip… “you get that video mate?””
