The 2023 Aramco Team Series will be kicking off at Florida’s Trump International Golf Club for its second event of the season. The likes of Lexi Thompson, Lydia Ko, Jessica Korda, and more are all set to descend upon the renowned West Palm Beach course for the coveted event.

The World No. 6 Thompson, who last appeared in the Cognizant Founders Cup, seems to be in good spirits ahead of the tournament, sharing a new ‘poolside’ photo on social media. Here is how her loyal fans have reacted to the stunning new update from the LPGA star!

Thompson’s participation in the recently-concluded Founders Cup only marked her fourth appearance this year. The LPGA sensation, however, had a forgettable outing at the event, tying for 31st position on the leaderboard.

Thompson’s association with Trump International Golf Club is not only through the golf course but also the man who owns it. She met ex-POTUS Donald Trump for the first time in 2009 and has been careful in alienating herself from political branding. Eventually, Thompson became his recreational golfing partner. Back in 2017, Trump arrived just in time when she was about to swing her club for the third shot on the par-5 15th hole at US Women’s Open. Trump cheered for her, despite the fact that it wasn’t her best shot. 2019 Easter weekend also saw Trump partnering with Thompson at the club he owns.

Fast forward to today, the 28-year-old sensation will definitely be hoping to return to her winning ways at the fast-approaching Aramco Team Series in Florida’s West Palm Beach. Thompson’s recent Instagram post, which shows the stunner basking in the sun, has offered fans a glimpse into her current state of mind. “Poolside afternoons,” wrote the 2014 Chevron Championship winner in the caption accompanying the photo!

“You deserve it after two weeks of tournaments,” wrote one well-wisher. The major winner had also appeared in last month’s edition of the Chevron Championship but exited early after a missed cut. “Looking great Lexi, enjoy your days off,” wrote another.

“Which Greek Goddess are you?,” inquired one amazed golf enthusiast. “Always Rocking it!!” said another Instagram user. “All that hard work pays off! You look great,” said a mesmerized fan in a comment under her photo.

Some have also wished her luck for her upcoming endeavors, with a fan saying, “Let’s get a victory at the US Open in Pebble Beach in July. Good luck. You’ll need it.” After a dismal 2023 so far, the golfing pro will want to bounce back into form as fast as possible. Thompson is definitely the player to beat in the impending event after having clinched the first Aramco event on American soil last October.

What is the prize purse at the 2023 Aramco Team Series Florida?

The LET’s Aramco Team Series in Florida kicks off on May 19 at Florida’s Trump International Golf Course. Fans can expect a thrilling event, thanks to the likes of Lexi Thompson, Lydia Ko, Jessica Korda, and Aditi Ashok, among big names. The unique event will boast 144 golfers, all of whom will be divided into 36 teams of four. Each team will see three pro golfers being paired up with one amateur.

Backed by the Public Investment Fund, the event boasts an incredible prize purse of $1,000,000. World No. 3 Lydia Ko, is the highest-ranked star in the event and will be hoping to make a comeback after a patchy season so far. The 26-year-old had tied for third place at March’s Aramco Team Series in Singapore. The Florida event, which tees off in just a couple of hours, will draw to an end on May 21.
