Christina Kim loves playing at the Walmart NW Arkansas tournament. So much so that the veteran golfer raced back from Spain, where she was doing commentary for the Solheim Cup, to play this tournament. Speaking to the press after yesterday’s match, the LPGA star, known for her outspoken personality, was candid about her performance.
Although tied for 27th on the leaderboard, she is calm and composed. “All you can do is what you can do,” she said with a smiling face. “I missed a little six-footer out here. It’s all good.” The veteran golfer, at the late stage of her career, is prioritizing the joy of going out on the greens over winning a tournament.
Currently ranked at 163, Kim will be hoping to finish within the top 100 to secure her status for the upcoming LPGA Tour. But even that doesn’t put her under any pressure. “I can go out there and have a great day and get lapped by everybody, and I may not end up moving,” the 37-year-old golfer further added.
