As 2022 was nearing its end, a social media trend followed it, and LPGA golfer Cheyenne Woods was no exception. Everyone posted a heartfelt farewell to 2022 and welcomed 2023 with new positive vibes. The golfer also became part of the trend and posted a beautiful compilation of farewell to the year. 

She entered professional golf and won her first Sun Coast Ladies Series tournament in 2012. Later, the pro became a member of the Ladies European Tour in 2013. Her second professional win was at the Volvik RACV Ladies Masters in 2014. Despite being called the niece of pro, every year, she has achieved something or another, but last year was more memorable than others.

Apart from her sports achievements, 2022 was beautiful for her. She exchanged vows with the love of her life and gave birth to her first son. Undoubtedly, her year was full of new journeys she embarked upon. However, who topped her farewell list of the last year? Let’s find out.

The touching goodbye to 2022 by Cheyenne Woods

The year 2022 brought many elements, and the golf world witnessed them. LIV golf came into the picture and created a rivalry with the PGA tour. Many golfers left behind the legacy of the American tour and joined the Saudi-backed tour. We saw Tiger Woods playing again with his son Charlie. Not just this, but new amendments in the PGA purses and rules were also the highlight of the year. However, despite everything going on in the sports world, Woods’ niece, Cheyenne, chose to thank her small family for the beautiful year.

She posted pictures of her husband, Aaron Hicks, a center fielder for the New York Yankees. Her farewell post, without a doubt, also had pictures of her son, Cameron Jaxson Hicks. The photos were adorable, and the small family looked delighted. However, her words were what left our hearts melting. Expressing her love, the ladies European tour golfer said, “Grateful for the memories made with this little family of ours this year ❤️ 2022 was a year that changed my life forever. These guys are my everything.”

Someone indeed said family makes life beautiful. And Cheyennes’ post was the true testament. She mentioned that her small family gave her a great 2022, and she loved them with all her heart. The grateful memories might also have included her selection for the wake Forest hall of fame. Despite her colossal achievement, her family was the one who gave her the most happiness.
