The pain in Thompson’s wrist became evident during the tournament. However, today she shared a story on her Instagram, “Well, good news about my hand, it was inflammation around a tendon. So with the right treatment, it will hopefully be a speedy recovery! Look forward to playing the next two weeks.”

In preparation for the Chevron Championship, she placed particular emphasis on ball-striking.
