The former World No. 1 made headlines for his gigantic sandwich at Southern Hills Country Club yesterday. Tiger Woods ate his colossal sandwich while waiting with his playing partners on the 14th hole tee box. The sandwich was wrapped in silver foil, but the size of it was mammoth. Notably, he was in conversation with his playing partners, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy, while he grabbed a bite of the large-sized meal.
Even the ESPN announcers present with the group were taken aback by the size of Woods’ epic sandwich. Host Scott Van Pelt said, “Stop at the sub shop? What are we doing?” While analyst Dave Flemming responded to Pelt’s comments, saying, “That’s not a power bar? It’s full-on breakfast.”
After consuming the mammoth sandwich, the World Golf Hall of Fame member hit an impressive shot on the 14th hole and rolled in his birdie putt to move to two-under-par through five holes on the back nine.
Pictures of the 82-time PGA Tour winner consuming the big sandwich circulated all over social media, and Tiger’s fans were delighted to see him back on the golf course since the 2022 Masters.
