Spiranac has often expressed her love for other sports with her regular posts on social media. She used the trick during the start of the NCAA college football season and has pulled off a similar move again.

This time around, Spiranac used the opportunity to ask fans for their thoughts on the first game of the forthcoming MLB World Series. The baseball league commences this weekend, with the first game between Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies.

Setting the temperature soaring, Spiranac posted a picture of herself in a Phillies outfit, alongside the caption, “World Series starts tonight! Who do you have? Astros or Phillies?”

The two teams lock horns in the first match of the season, which has already got the town talking. The euphoria was evident in the response to Spiranac’s tweet, with as many as 5k likes and 100+ retweets in a matter of hours. Here’s a selection of those reactions.

Does Spiranac really have interest in MLB?

While Spiranac has revealed her love for games other than golf in her podcast, ‘Playing A Round with Paige Renee’, but she has never focused much on her inclination to Major League Baseball.

However, there have been moments that catapulted her into the eyes of baseball fans across the world. Spiranac was once invited by the Milwaukee Brewers for the ceremonial first pitch against the New York Yankees in the American Family Field.

She wore a Brewers jersey to show her support for the team and threw the first pitch to Milwaukee’s star player, Christian Yelich. While the ball went a little higher than expected, she made it without a bounce to keep her dignity among baseball fans.

However, Spiranac later revealed that she was terrified of the pitch as it was her first-ever baseball throw. She was dreading a repeat of the American rapper 50 Cent’s throw, which made the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
