The Ryder Cup is being played this week if you haven’t already heard. Both the teams seem to be going all out for it, including wearing themed costumes. However, Justin Thomas just took it up a notch with his latest shoes.
As a rookie at last year’s edition, he was the team’s top-scoring performer and recorded a total score of 4-1-0. This will be the 28-year-old’s second appearance and he will look to maintain and improve his own standards.

Justin Thomas sports an incredibly American pair of shoes
Justin Thomas couldn’t have been more patriotic with his appearance. Created by custom golf shoe designer Nomad Customs, he wore these during a practice session and they have gone viral since. It has everything that screams America on them. Painted on it is a bald eagle, the stars and stripes flag, the statue of liberty, a line from the constitution, and even a portrait of Uncle Sam! And if the overall theme went unnoticed by someone, then a big and bold ‘Merica’ is thrown in for good measure.

For a good shoe-lover, these are a feast for the eyes. However, it is a little gaudy for some people’s liking. Twitter witnessed plenty of fans who had mixed opinions on Thomas’ latest shoes. Let’s look at what some of them said:
just truly truly awful
