Following Phil Mickelson’s remarks, many thought the idea about the Saudi Arabia-backed league would be long buried. The idea has received extreme reactions, which hints at less participation from current PGA Tour stars. However, Greg Norman and LIV Golf Investment are determined to start their venture successfully.

Therefore, they apparently sent out letters to some PGA Tour stars to promote their idea and league. Shared by Golf Digest’s Daniel Rapaport, people ended up reacting to the lengthy letter.

While everyone had their own suggestions and opinions, the letter was received with some varied emotions.

What letter has Greg Norman sent to PGA Tour players?

As per the letter, Norman and the group of investors have refused to back down. They don’t want to stop and look forward to announcing further details about their event. Not all fans seem to appreciate the letter, looking at it as a desperate attempt.

Despite the money offered to all players, fans seem to be worried about how the game might change. Of course, some feel that Norman makes a good case. The PGA Tour has been the main authority for years, and many would like to see some change overall.

Fans also added that after reading the letter, they do want to give this a chance. After all, players will be playing and earning more.

Furthermore, some believe that while Norman and the investors promise many things, there are not many details. Eventually, when the events begin, they will need players.

What more did Norman say?

“We consider ourselves a start-up,” Norman wrote. “We may start with a modest number of players, but we won’t stay that way for long.”

His point was that if everyone does not join at first, they can understand.

Later on, however, Norman believes that people will shift. They promise to work for the betterment and provide an environment the PGA Tour could not.

Of course, one cannot deny the PGA Tour’s implications if one joins the Saudi league. With those like Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau rumored to want to shit, the tour can cancel their PGA Tour membership.

However, irrespective of what one says, support remains a key factor in this situation. Despite all the investment, Norman will need people to make the super league a hit.
