The Wyndham Cup was the last opportunity in the 2021-2022 season of the PGA Tour for players to claim their spot in the FedEx Cup Playoff. The 33-year-old golfer is one of the two players to make it, but his position is still shaky. Fowler claimed the 125th spot in the standings and his fans are happy for him.

Fowler had missed the cut on Friday and his chances of qualifying for the playoffs were almost null. He started in the Wyndham Championship when his FedEx Cup ranking was 123. There were very low chances for Fowler to be able to qualify, but he did anyways.

Fowler opened up about his LIV Golf connections
The golfer was rumored to be joining the LIV Golf league. Almost every player, who sits in an interview and agrees to talk to reporters, has to talk about the PGA vs LIV controversy. However, Fowler’s diplomatic response to his plans regarding joining LIV Golf led him deeper into the rumors.

“I’ve been in talks with them for a long time,” said Fowler “It’s something to definitely look at. At this point, it wasn’t the right move or decision for us, but I’m not saying I’m for sure here or I’m going to go there. I’m going to just kind of leaving my options open and see how things play out.”

It wouldn’t be surprising if Fowler is the next player to join the LIV Golf league. Even his fans are predicting that if he gets out in the first round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, he would go straight to the Saudi-backed tour. Only time will tell what the golfer has in mind regarding his future in golf.
