The Solheim Cup is all set to kick off on Friday. When the nation’s dream is on the line, everything should be perfect from the beginning. And for the US, extra luck is needed since this could be the year where the players can end the last two editions’ winless streak.
But this American star has already faced her first tough hole, even before the actual competition starts. She was in a similar predicament as a warrior without a sword. And the LPGA Tour has come under fire for her ordeal.

LPGA star faces golfer’s worst nightmare
Danielle Kang never imagined that she would have to endure the same difficult situation again during the Solheim Cup after losing her luggage during the Evian Championship. Yep, she encountered every golfer’s worst nightmare.
Kang faced some unexpected challenges when she arrived at her destination for the Solheim Cup. She started off her Cup journey in Las Vegas. She took a stopover in Amsterdam. 30-year-old golfer did not, however, receive 13 of her clubs when she arrived in Malaga.
Her tools just vanished. The only club she had with her was her putter which she carried all along. Her remaining 13 clubs were simply nowhere to be found. She tagged Solheim Cup USA and Transavia Flight in a Twitter post about her situation.
Hi. I need everyone’s help again. My captain and the entire US Team has been on this but someone PLEASE put my GOLF bag on the next flight out of AMSTERDAM to MALAGA…
it’s missed every flight it could’ve been on today..BAG TAG 0074676649 @transavia flight@SolheimCupUSA 🥺🙏❤️— Danielle Kang (@daniellekang) September 18, 2023
After two tense days, she finally received her baggage. But her situation put the LPGA Tour in the dock and fans came up with scathing remarks against the golf body.
LPGA Tour has nowhere to run after scathing attack
The Solheim Cup is the largest competition for women’s golf, and this potential blunder might have jeopardized Kang’s dream. And one fan expressed concern about the LPGA Tour’s services to players, particularly those whose shoulders carry the hopes of the country.
I'm not shocked that something like this happened, but the bigger question is, why didn't the @LPGA charter a flight for the #SolheimCup team? #GolfChat https://t.co/QAyMZSysI2

Since golfing equipment is expensive, one fan asked what’s the big deal about sending these players on private planes.
For the love of God. Can we not fly our ladies private to Spain for the Solheim Cup? https://t.co/84roTLlB2U

Since there is so much money on the LPGA Tour and it is flooded with sponsors, one fan is bewildered why there is no sponsor for the private plane.
You’re telling me not one of pro golf’s numerous sponsors would charter a jet for the Solheim Cup team? Step up ffs. https://t.co/0oydIrmZt5

For one fan, it was a total surprise that Solheim USA doesn’t provide players with private planes.
So 🇺🇸 @SolheimCupUSA doesn't charter flights for the USA team? https://t.co/lTrJUlrKVG

Thank god, Kang got her bags just in time. She can practice better now that she has her tools back. But her experience has really put particularly the LPGA under the scanner. What do you think about all the fans’ remarks? Let us know in the comments below.
