If there is one thing the people associate with former POTUS Donald Trump apart from politics, it is golf. If not the same, at least more. His game has been the topic of national discussion, be it his scramble with old friend Bryson DeChambeau for his YouTube channel, or challenging opponent Joe Biden to a golf game to decide who is better, his association has always been pretty much there.

A few months ago, he also claimed that he added two more championships to his long self-proclaimed list stating that he not only won the Club Championship but also clinched the victory at the Senior Club Championship at his course in West Palm Beach. On his X account, he wrote, “It is my great honor to be at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach tonight, AWARDS NIGHT, to receive THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY & THE SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY.”

Well as it turns out, the 78-year-old has yet another claim regarding his golf game. In a recent interview with Joe Rogan, posted by the official X account of NUCLR Golf, the former POTUS stated, “I have been playing for a long time, and I have won 32 club championships.” Trump, who owns 17 golf courses around the globe through the Trump Organization, asserts that he has a handicap of 2.8, suggesting he is an exceptionally skilled golfer. 

However, having witnessed some of his shanks on the course, a lot of people have accused him of having fudged his handicap. Looks like once again, the entire golf community is left in serious doubts regarding Donald Trump’s golf games after the interview.

The golf fans answer Donald Trump’s claim with sarcasm

Almost nobody believed Donald Trump to have won 32 Club Championships. Even though by 2016, he owned 17 golf courses globally through his holding company, the Trump Organization. Trump’s courses have been chosen to host several PGA and LPGA events, including the 2022 PGA Championship. That was how much he loved being involved with golf. But to have won so many championships seems pretty much like a myth to the golf community. 

Taking to this, while one of them sarcastically stated, “I think he actually believes he won 32 Club Championships… LOL.” Another poet wrote, “Trump has the greatest imagination of all time and Americans can’t decipher fact from fiction.” During his game with Bryson DeChambeau at Break 50, the pro golfer and the politician managed to card 12 birdies and 5 eagles together. Had they made a birdie or card an eagle on the 6th hole at Trump Bedminster, they could have potentially broken 50 from the front tees—an achievement that The Scientist is yet to achieve in his series. Even DeChambeau was impressed by his game.

However, the recent claims do not still seem to fit. One of them wrote, “He’s decent at golf but now way.” And another stated, “Legend in his own mind.” While another, referring to the self-proclaimation made by Donald Trump also stated a dream of his referring to as reality to give a strike of sarcasm once again. They wrote, “I once rode an elephant around Augusta during the Masters.”
