If you made a list of golfers who can make it to the headlines at any moment, Lydia Ko might be at the top. The Chevron Championship is about to begin, and fans are eagerly awaiting the Kiwi star to tee off. More so after the run she has been having since last season. But she has garnered everyone’s attention, not for her game this time around, but for her modeling glimpse that she recently gave to the world.

So, Lydia shared an Instagram update with a stunning carousel of pictures she recently did for Golf.com. She wrote, “I know what you guy’s are thinking… Kai should be on the front of the cover, and not me. Thank you @golf_com for this cool opportunity.” The 28-year-old was featured on the front cover of the golf magazine also highlighted that fans probably wanted her dog, oh-so-beloved Kai, to be on the front page. Kai was there in the second picture with her, smiling ear to ear.

Interestingly, it’s her third time shocking the community by being on the front page of the magazine. In February, Vogue Korea declared March “Vogue Women’s Month” and kicked off its “Vogue Leaders: 2024 Woman Now” campaign. On February 20, 2024, the magazine unveiled all 24 cover stars for its March issue, highlighting outstanding figures from entertainment, the arts, and fashion, and Ko was on the front page of that fashion magazine.

She later shared this update and thanked the magazine, saying, “Never did I think that I’d ever be on the cover of a fashion magazine 💛 thank you @voguekorea @loropiana for bringing out the ‘model’ in me!” However, this time Ko believes she shouldn’t be on the front page. But the golf world is in full disagreement with her comments.

Fans think Lydia Ko is the perfect choice for the front page

This fan disagreed with Ko’s comments and also admired her as a golfer and said, “No, You are one of the best in golf.” Possibly alluding to the fact that, last year, after winning the Olympic gold and the AIG Women’s Open, Lydia Ko became the youngest member of the LPGA Hall of Fame in the process. Expressing similar sentiments, another also expressed admiration for the golfer’s beauty and added, “Such a sweet lady. Hall of Fame golfer. And pretty as can be.” 

One fan called the golfer a combination of almost everything and added, “Talent, beauty, charisma… the complete package !📦” At just 28, she has not only secured 23 LPGA Tour victories over the past decade but also stands as the only female golfer to have earned Olympic medals in all three colors. On top of that, she also made it to the front page of a fashion magazine. Witnessing her accomplishments, another added, “Your next career as a model! 👏🔥❤️” 

Interestingly, in February, when she was on the front page of Vogue Korea, the community was stunned over her beauty and expressed similar types of thoughts, saying comments like, “Add model to that resume 😮‍💨🔥.” This time as well, they have similar thoughts, as one added, “You could light up the cover of any magazine.” Highlighting that despite being a full-time golfer, Ko also remains an example of beauty with talent, and never fails to surprise her fans.
