In the 35-minute-long episode, Spiranac cornered the producer with several questions regarding the shooting of the documentary. Among many insights shared by Chadd Mumm, he revealed whether it was the Americans or the Europeans, who were more comfortable with a camera around their day-to-day life.

The European players were like the easiest to work with”, claimed the producer. Mumm said that the golfers’ ‘nonchalant’ character helped in the smooth flow of shooting. He further believed the ideal reason behind the European’s confidence in front of the camera was mainly because “DP World Tour, like, has done a lot with the players on social media and had a really good team that did that”.

While speaking about Americans to Paige Spiranac, Mumm revealed it took more time for them to get comfortable. According to the Netflix producer, American golfers try to imitate the 15-time Major winner Tiger Woods’ businessman persona and want to maintain a good public image.

Chadd Mumm said, “I want to say that corporate but they all like learn from Tiger Woods and watch how he was and there’s like a seriousness to it and a guardedness and, like, look, they’re kind of CEOs of their own businesses, so they have a lot to lose if things go wrong”. The American golfers in the documentary consisted of Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, and many others.

Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy, Matthew Fitzpatrick, and Ian Poulter represented the DP World Tour in the documentary. Their witty humor and unfiltered thoughts won the hearts of many. While Chadd Mumm may have expressed his honest thoughts with Spiranac, the Americans will soon face the Europeans later this year at the 2023 Ryder Cup.

Though they may have lost the vote of the producer, it is the Trophy in Italy that everyone has their eye on. What are your thoughts on Mumm’s words? Let us know in the comment section below.
