Rose Zhang, the American sensation, stepped on the field along with eight other rookies in the recently-concluded Solheim Cup. Rose’s experience at the event was remarkable. The game included two of the world’s best talents setting up a benchmark. Rose Zhang knew it was going to be a dogfight when she saw her opponents.

The rookie was one of the top performers for the U.S. on fourball day one. Rose also played against Solheim Cup star Leona Maguire in Sunday’s singles, giving her a good fight. Captain Stacy Lewis decided not to let Rose play in foursomes, which led to her not making an appearance in foursomes in the Solheim Cup. Yet, the 20-year-old was all smiles after her enriching experience in Spain.

The series was defended by Team Europe, but it didn’t dishearten Rose Zhang. In a recent post, she talked about how much she loved playing the game and also how much she adored her teammates’ company. The match went with a lot of competitiveness on both sides, and it was a very good time for Rose Zhang. As much as she loved playing, the fans also enjoyed the game, which was very close.

“In team play, it’s essential to never give up,” Zhang said. “I think ‘playing for your team’ is a very cliché mindset, but it’s also very important when you’re in that team environment.” Rose Zhang has won two Curtis Cups, and the experience gained in those matches helped her greatly in the Solheim Cup.
