The biennial Ryder Cup event is almost upon us and the two teams are hard at work preparing for the match play. Captain Zach Johnson shared his picks and finalized his team last week while explaining his intricate reasoning. However, Captain Luke Donald’s team seems to be missing some key players, and fans aren’t thrilled about it.
Team Europe shows complete oversight in regard to LIV Golfers, including former captains such as Henrik Stenson, Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter, and others. But what do these prominent golfers have to say about it?

Sergio Garcia shared a hint about his mindset over missing the event in Italy
When the Ryder Cup teams were permitted to pick LIV golfers in Captain’s choices, the golfing world was in a flurry, expecting captains from years gone by to graze the field at the Marco Simone Country Club. However, the captain of LIV Golf’s Fireball GC was one of the few golfers fans really wanted to see on Team Europe. However, he wasn’t picked, and that resulted in quite a thunderstorm in the community.
Garcia, on the other hand, chose the high road instead of retaliation. On his social media, he shared a particularly tranquil picture of himself in a relaxing bath overlooking a spectacular view on the terrace. He captioned it, “Little time off leaves more time for recovery.” Since he missed the Captain’s pick for the 2023 Ryder Cup, El Nino’s itinerary has opened up relatively.
The Spanish golfer is scheduled to play at LIV Golf Chicago on the 22nd of September. The tournament will end right before the Ryder Cup which will allow him some downtime before LIV Golf Jeddah on October 13th. Finally, on the 22nd of October, LIV Golf’s season finale will end with a bang at the Trump National Doral Golf Club. Sergio Garcia will be leading his team to fight for the title with considerable time to rest and rejuvenate himself.

El Nino’s laid-back approach to the controversial situation of being left out of the Ryder Cup team is refreshing. However, fans are not so thrilled about the oversight.
Garcia fans share their opinions on the LIV Golfer’s serene social post
Ever since the lineup for Team Europe was finalized, golf fans have been quite vocal about them missing Sergio Garcia on the field. The pro golfer’s ‘X’ (Twitter) post inspired them to share their sentiments with him.
One fan outright said, “You will be missed in Italy. Sorely missed.” Another Garcia admirer agreed stating, “So sad you’re not playing RC, what a waste.”

There were many who showed their support for the golfer’s decision to take the high road and added their appreciation of the view.
Another golf fan, however, reminded Garcia of the sore spot with his comment.
